Dr. Vincenzo Gambino

Dr. Vincenzo Gambino studied medicine at the University of Pavia in Italy.

In 1990, he began specializing in hair transplantation with the Elliott-Thomas Medical Group in New York City.

A member of multiple internationally accredited medical organizations, Dr. Gambino is on the Board of Governors of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS).

He is a past president and on the governing board of the Italian Society for Hair Restoration (ISHR) and is currently serving a three year term as president of the Italian Society of Trichology ( S.I.Tri.).

Dr. Gambino wrote the hair transplantation section of the surgical text book, Medicina e Chirurgia Estetica del Viso e del Collo (Esthetic Medicine and Surgery of the Face and Neck), and the pubic hair transplantation section of the surgical text book Medicina e Chirurgia Estetica del Corpo both produced by S.I.E.S. (Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery) and published by Elsevier Masson.

He was the first doctor in Italy to perform head-to-pubic-area transplantation, and he most recently pioneered chest-to-head-hair transplantation in Italy. He is also the first in Italy to use Low Level Laser Therapy in the treatment of hair loss.
